CW Versus AD Examines Differences Between Workers in Ad Agencies
Jason Soy — June 19, 2012 — Pop Culture
Copywriters and art directors, the life force of the advertising biz, are often thought of as interchangeable, but CW Versus AD is helping those unfamiliar with the two creative professions distinguish one another in a humorous manner. Each CW Versus AD cartoon is essentially separated into two panels, with the left representing copywriters and the right representing art directors. CW Versus AD then examines the various distinct tools, habits and quirks associated with people within the two fields.
For example, while copywriters are known to be sticklers for spelling mistakes, art directors can’t stand low resolution images. Copywriters are also more likely to get tattoos with text while art directors prefer vibrant graphics adorning their bodies.
