Designer Dorophy Tang was in the spotlight at the massive new Adidas showroom in Beijing. The designer based in Hong Kong and China used traditional Chinese imagery, fat and bald little boys playing with soccer balls, to create the upholstery on the French-style furniture.
Implications - As men are less pressured to be the breadwinner of the household, there will be a surge in male-oriented domestic products. These sports-themed chairs are a fantastic example of how men are now influencing their nest without losing their sense of manhood. It's important that companies see the opportunity in these shifting gender roles and gender expectations because new markets are making themselves available to open-minded businesses.
