The iconic streetwear brand Supreme recently teamed up with New York's Metropolitan Transit Authority to create custom MetroCards for the city's most fashion-forward commuters. While the cards come a premium cost, the collaboration has proven extremely popular among fans of the popular streetwear label.
Supreme's custom MetroCards are part of the brand's 2017 spring collection, which is the same collection featuring the news-worthy Obama sweatsuit. The stylish transit passes come pre-loaded with two rides and feature the brand's iconic red and white logo instead of the normal MTA MetroCard branding.
Already sold out in stores and selling for more than 30 times the retail value, Supreme's custom MetroCards demonstrate the power that brands have to turn everyday items and products into highly sought after collectibles -- as was the case with the Supreme-branded bricks.
