Wal-Mart is now selling a croissant-tortilla mash-up called the 'Crotilla.'
The Crotilla can be used the same way as a tortilla, but has a much more flaky, buttery texture (similar to a croissant). Inspired by the famous 'Cronut' from New York City-based pastry chef Dominique Ansel, the Crotilla claims to be baked fresh in store and made with butter. Food pairings like this croissant-tortilla mash-up and sushi donuts have been popular in recent years as foodie fans look for fun new ways to pair their favorite treats.
While the pastry doesn't give any insight into how it is supposed to be eaten, it is served warm with butter and jam, making it sound like an appetizing on-the-go breakfast option that retails for just $4 a box.
