Sleep-Rewarding Employers

Japan's Crazy Inc. Offers Points to Well-Rested Employees

Well-rested employees generally equate to better workers and Japanese-based Crazy Inc. is betting on this by rewarding employees who sleep at least six hours a night. Crazy Inc., a wedding organizer in Japan, recently unveiled this new initiative in an attempt to combat the over 92% of Japanese workers claiming they aren't getting enough sleep. This sacrifice has been long-held as a cultural belief of noble actions for the corporate good.

To combat this notion, Crazy Inc. offers points for the amount of sleep garnered in a five-day work period. Nightly rest will be tracked using an app made by mattress manufacturer Airweave Inc. The points gathered by employees can be used for food at the company cafeteria.
