The artist simply known as Craww creates some stunningly sad and surreal artworks that draw people into their inky depths. Centered around somber women with abnormally large hands, each piece is as full of expression, emotion and individuality as the next. As Craww observes, "I tend to work in a very stream of consciousness way and I rarely have a plan when I start, the pieces taking on a life of their own, almost telling their own story as I paint them."
Working with various mediums, Craww's paintings are often the result of pencil, paint and spilt ink. Craww draws "inspiration from daydreams, music, comics, nature, gin and an overactive imagination," according to his bio. Yet, each piece forms a cohesive body of work.
