Developing areas of the world would benefit immensely if the Google Community Vehicle concept were brought into fruition. Designed by Rajshekhar Dass, the vehicle is designed to be utilized in a number of different ways to help benefit rural communities.
Capable of being used as an ambulance, a tractor and a kiosk for selling goods at local marketplaces, the Google Community Vehicle features Internet connectivity and more. Being that the vehicle is designed for rural usage in developing areas, it's designed to be easier to repair than other vehicles would otherwise be. The segmented wheel design would enable a single damaged wedge to be replaced rather than have to replace the entire wheel unit, for example.
