Technician-Tracking Apps

Comcast Digital is Hoping to Give Consumers a Better Way to Get Service

The Comcast digital company is hoping to give customers a better experience by producing an Uber-inspired app. The app would allow people to track where technicians are, instead of having to wait all day at home for someone who might never come.

Internet providers are terrible for expecting customers to be basically on-call for a day. There are many times when people will be waiting at home for 24-hours and still nobody shows up. The Comcast digital company is hoping to change this by making an app to track the progress of the technicians, their expected arrival time and if in fact they are even coming on the scheduled day. This is a great way to combat customer dissatisfaction with these types of digital companies.
