Liliana Ovalle, a Mexican designer based in London, England, has hit another home run with her Color Me Table. Her winning streak began with the intricately knotted El Otro seating, was continued with her dented Crash bench and now with her Color Me Table, she should be inducted into the furniture hall of fame.
Currently part of The Chroma Season exhibition being held at the Plusdesign Gallery in Milan, Italy, during Salone di Mobile 2012, the Color Me Table is an oddly angled piece of wooden furniture. Beautifully dynamic, it is decorated with geometric blocks of color. Each Color Me Table shows how "colour can change the nature of an object as soon as the brush touches it," according to the designer. Without the paint job, the table would be very minimalist.
