Stags Leap District Winegrowers Blends 15 Lots into One Cabernet

Stags Leap District Winegrowers is releasing this fall the 2024 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon: A Collaboration, the fourth vintage of a shared Napa Valley bottle built from Cabernet lots contributed by 15 member wineries. Rather than present one cellar's signature, it gives buyers a blend shaped by a rotating team of district winemakers.

Production stops at three barrels or 900 bottles. It is sold only through the Stags Leap District Winegrowers website in three- and six-bottle sets. The price is $275 per bottle. Each vintage changes as the blending team changes, so the wine works as a time-stamped read on the district.

Website-only sales turn the release into a direct drop built around place rather than winery loyalty. The rotating winemaker team makes the appellation itself the product, a co-creation move that other wine regions can use when they want to market a shared identity.
