Balancing Granite Furniture

Ryan Jongwoo Choi's Co-existence Table Focuses on Harmony

The meaning behind the Co-existence Table is as beautiful as the piece of furniture is itself. It explores the relationship between man and nature, showing just how harmonious and almost symbiotic it really is.

The Co-existence Table was created by South Korean designer Ryan Jongwoo Choi, who is currently studying at the Central Saint Martins of Art and Design in London, England. It is comprised of two sculptural pieces of ash wood that embrace two slabs of granite. The granite pieces have a subtle oval shape that makes the entire table look like it is precariously balancing on top of them.

Although the Co-existence Table is steeped in nature, it is also a very modern design.
