'Seek Refuge' is a Proud Brand That Makes Clothes for Muslim Women

Created by 25 year-old Shazia Ijaz, 'Seek Refuge' is a brand that is dedicated to providing fashion-forward and street culture-oriented clothes for Muslim women. Without sacrificing tradition, religion or dignity, the streetwear label seeks to "empower and represent Muslim women, especially Millennial Muslim women like [Shazia Ijaz]." Through the purchase of classic designs such as graphic tees, subtly distressed denim jackets and ripped jeans, proceeds are donated to refugee causes.

The aforementioned Refugee jacket is the flagship piece in this modest and fashion-forward collection of clothes for Muslim women. It boasts high-quality Turkish denim, vintage copper buttons, as well as a backpiece of Arabic script that is a poem by a Syrian refugee, handwritten by a Muslim calligrapher.
