The Psicobloc Climbing Competition Features Deep Water Soloing

For the first time ever, a major deep water soloing climbing competition took place in the U.S. last week in Park City, Uta.

The Psicobloc Masters Series sees intense rock climbers clambering up a cliff-like rock-climbing wall with a sheer, 50-foot drop down into a deep pool of water. Different from all other such competitions, there are no ropes, harnesses or safety nets to catch you if you slip up, just lots and lots of water. While the finalists are still competing, the massive wall is open to the public for a couple of days so that they can try their hand at deep water soloing.

The Psicobloc climbing competition is a game-changer for competitive climbing.
