BMW's Mini division is set to introduce its first series of electric vehicles, but the company is first whetting customers appetites with its exclusive classic Mini Electric. The vehicle is a restored model that has been upgraded to feature modern electric powering and amenities. While Mini has not shared any technical specifications, the company has expressed the car's likeness to the original and promises that the conversion hasn't diminished the go-kart-like handling that made the original Mini a hit.
The classic Mini Electric is sure to have fans clamoring to buy their very own, but the company has been quite adamant in stating that this vehicle is one-of-a-kind and was only built as a case study for the 2018 New York Auto Show. Unlike the classic Mini Electric, the consumer electric Mini is set to be based on the Mini-3 and will be released in 2019.
