Creative and photographer Guido Gutiérrez Ruiz recently documented his trip to Toronto in a series entitled Parallel Worlds that showcases the urban metropolis in a series of cityscape photos that use reflection to create symmetry. The reflections are done using puddles of water found throughout the city during the wintertime that beautifully mirror the urban landscape and create a parallel depiction of the metropolis.
Ruiz's illustrations capture an element of realism of Canadian city during its harsh winters. The city is often flooded with slush as the snow quickly melts leaving puddles throughout the streets that Ruiz creatively makes use of to create reflections. The photos depict the landscape of city streets and skyscrapers paired with the mirrored version showcased in the puddles below.
