Studio Lorier is a design label based in Rotterdam and its new City Plate collection explores ceramic construction through architectural shapes. The capsule is comprised of porcelain platters that boast three-dimensional structures that refer to respective landmarks of each city. The plates can be used for food presentations or even as a piece that holds small household items as decor. The capsule features 10 different cities, including New York, London, San Francisco and more.
A standout platter is the London plate, which has the Thames river that runs across the entire piece to hold sauces, such as soy sauce for sushi presentations. Sander Lorier of Studio Lorier states that they wanted to "create a project that celebrates all these cities, with its unique look and characteristic."
