Fresco News is an Apple TV application that highlights content from citizen journalists. Because most people now carry a smartphone with them at all times, it is easier than ever for consumers to capture first-person accounts of breaking news stories. Fresco News provides an outlet for this content in the form of a curated platform.

The Apple TV application features three different tabs that highlight footage captured by citizen journalists. The Videos tabs displays footage of recent events, while the Highlights section offers a mix of photos and videos that allows user to catch up on the latest news quickly. Finally, the Stories tab organizes all of the content submitted for a particular event into a coherent news segment. All of the content submitted is based on first-person accounts and those who submit to Fresco News are compensated for the photos and videos they share.
