At a time when many health-conscious consumers are interested in discovering non-dairy milk alternatives—like oat milk—and better-for-you confections, premium chocolate maker Goodio is introducing 'ChocOats.'
ChocOats takes the form of an organic, dairy-free chocolate bar that boasts a creamy consistency thanks to gluten-free ground oats. Patent-pending technology is involved in making the oat-infused chocolate bars, which results in a confection that boasts about 50% less sugar than conventional chocolate products. As COO Jussi Salonen describes: "no one else is using oats as opposed to dairy or some other milk alternative so we gave it a shot and we were quite frankly surprised that it worked so well and how soft and easily accessible the taste is."
These innovative new chocolate bars are first being launched in Europe, but will be coming to the United States as of July.
