Developed by food writer Adeena Sussman, this cookie hybrid fuses potato chips with the traditional chocolate chip cookie. While making a simple batch of chocolate chip cookies, Sussman added kettle-style potato chips for a snack worth writing about. Sussman has stated her choice of kettle-style chips is due to the thick and deep crunch kettle chips provide. It has also been reported that lighter chips -- such as regular ones -- do not hold up to the buttery cookie dough.
