The ‘Child In Conflict’ Graph Tells the Tale Many Areas Face

Unfortunately children are not always treated with respect; across the world, children in crisis areas are often mistreated and abused, as depicted in the Unicef ‘Child in Conflict’ infograph. The graph has been compiled by Unicef as a way to better educate the world about these issues and point out that the term “Child Soldier” does not encompass the entirety of the issue and is an oversimplification.

The factors involved with these abuses of children are mostly economic in nature and are believed to be solvable through education, poverty prevention and building a better infrastructure governmentally in problem areas. The psychological, physical and sexual abuses that these children are forced to undergo are traumatizing and damaging to society as a whole.
