Chemist Confessions Tackles the Beauty Industry with Science

Chemist Confessions is an e-commerce brand founded by chemists Victoria Fu and Gloria Lu who both left a beauty conglomerate to make skin care "fun and approachable." The duo tackled common popular beauty myths, for example, if parabens are actually damaging to the skin, to separate fact from fiction.

The brand began as an Instagram account and expanded to launch both a podcast series and a skincare line. The range, by the same name, caries everything from PHA/AHA for sensitive skin to Mandelic acid skin care treatments, and each product plainly indicates its benefits for the skin, without any smoke or mirrors. To ensure consumers are well informed, each product has a section dedicated to 'Pro-Tips,' 'How to Use,' 'All About the Ingredients,' and more.
