The latest game from social media game-maker Zynga is ChefVille, which not only allows users to simulate the act of opening and operating a restaurant but will also enable players to unlock recipes that they can use in the real world.
Set to launch this week, ChefVille is all about cooking, in addition to managing a successful restaurant. As in cooking in the real world, ingredients are imperative, and all the ingredients players use in Zynga's virtual world are ingredients that would be used for cooking in real life. Other elements of the game include choosing which cuisine your restaurant will provide, the establishment's decor and the menu items you will offer to customers. ChefVille will make available over 200 different in-game recipes, such as Potatoes au Gratin and Miso Soup. Fifty of these recipes will be available for real-life meals, reports Mashable, which will be sent to your email inbox when you unlock recipes within the game.
