Interracial Family-Forming Ads

The First Cheerios Super Bowl Ad Brings Back the Interracial Family

This Cheerios ad uses the interracial family we saw not too long ago, but this time it is for the Super Bowl. The controversy surrounding the interracial couple last year took away from what was important. Now, they are doing it again and even better because millions of people will be watching.

This time the Cheerios ad uses the family to describe to the daughter that they will be having another little addition to the family. When the daughter realizes that she will be gaining a little brother there are some compromises that must be met. The father puts down 4 Cheerios in the middle of the table and the daughter adds another saying "and, a puppy." It is a great way to showcase the family and it's great that Cheerios is bringing them back despite the negative attention they have gotten in the past.
