Clarifying Charcoal Shampoos

Drybar's 'On the Rocks' Introduces Charcoal-Infused Hair Cleansers

Drybar is introducing a new charcoal shampoo and conditioner set that's being branded as a two-piece treatment system called 'On the Rocks.'

While the Clarifying Charcoal Shampoo is designed to remove impurities and product buildup without stripping or drying out hair, it also strengthens and reinforces hair that is damaged or chemically treated. Alongside the charcoal powder in the Lightweight Replenishing Conditioner, the formula is enriched with moisturizing macadamia nut oil, as well as coriander to smooth and boost shine. In terms of scent, the haircare duo has notes of warming ginger, refreshing mint and sandalwood.

Detoxifying charcoal can now be found in a range of cosmetic and personal care products, as it boasts the ability to absorb 100 to 200 times its own weight in impurities.
