Over the years, there have been many unique Pocky varieties released by Japanese confectionery company Glico, including orange peel, whiskey and purple potato—the newest product is a champagne-flavored biscuit for New Year's.
As well as boasting a flavorful and fruity aroma, the all-new champagne-flavored Pocky sets itself apart from previous releases by being about 1.4 times longer than the classic chocolate-dipped biscuit sticks.
Along with these new Pocky treats, Glico is also launching festive varieties of its Almond Premio chocolates and Caplico (an aerated chocolate snack) in champagne flavors. These new confections were created in collaboration with one of Japan's leading pastry chefs, Hironobu Tsujiguchi. All items in the collection contain 0.1% alcohol, so consumers are being advised to enjoy responsibly, considering that Japan enforces a 0% alcohol policy on the roads.
