Tesco's 'Turmeric Spiced Cauliflower Wellington' is Vegan

In response to a heightened demand for vegetarian and vegan options from its customers, Tesco is offering its first-ever plant-based Christmas entrees. These options include alternatives to classic meat-based dishes such as a Turmeric Spiced Cauliflower Wellington, a Pecan and Peanut Roast, a Festive Nut Roast and a Vegetarian Portobello Mushroom Wellington.

After noting an increase in the sales of ready-made vegetarian meals, Tesco is committing to offer a wider variety of plant-based products to consumers. Tesco recently shared a report that details that almost half (about 44%) of shoppers in Britain either do not eat meat, have reduced their intake of meat they eat or are considering it. Recently, Tesco brought on chef Derek Sarno as its director of plant-based innovation, indicating that people can look forward to more delicious vegetarian and vegan options in the year ahead.
