Cats and sushi are two of the greatest gifts in this modern world, and Japanese tchotchke manufacturer Artha has found a way to combine them into one single, divine product with its Cat Soy Sauce Dishes. The simple, all-white porcelain dishes have indentations in various feline forms, so when they hold soy sauce, the amber liquid forms various portraits of kitties.
Beyond just cookie cutter outlines of cats, Artha's dishes are cleverly crafted to create multiple hues out of the soy sauce that they hold. Thanks to subtle layering of the cat images, raised parts of the cats appear lighter while the deeper aspects of the relief appear darker (since their more full of soy sauce). The results are cute, attractive cats that also add some flavor to Japan's signature cuisine.
