While the world’s obsession with cats never seems to go out of style, Japanese cartoon ‘One Nya Hup’ anime show roundly-shaped cat characters inspired the creation of cat-shaped donuts.
The TV show ‘One Nya Hup’ is about a group of round donut-shaped cats going on many adventures. To commemorate the release of the anime cartoon on August 25th, cat donuts were made. Modeled after the two primary characters - a round brown Tabby cat and a white crescent-shaped white cat - consumers can purchase either a vanilla or chocolate donut that is shaped just like the round cat characters. From the pointy ears to the cute little paws, these cat donuts really do look like tiny, edible cartoon cats. Too bad they aren’t available outside Japan, they look deliciously sweet.
