The Krispy Kreme Japan Milky Shimaenega donuts are a limited-edition treat created by the brand to pay homage to the namesake bird in a decidedly delicious way. The donuts start off with the brand's classic donut that's then topped with white chocolate icing and pink chocolate shavings, which are meant to appear like sakura petals on fresh snow. The donut hole is filled with the shimaenega bird itself in chocolate form that's crafted with milk cream sourced from Hokkaido, wings made with adzuki red bean paste and a beak and eyes made using bitter chocolate.

The Krispy Kreme Japan Milky Shimaenega donuts are only being offered at four locations in Hokkaido starting at 367 yen each, which will be available from February 1 through late-May, 2024.
