Remodeled Luxury Jewelry Stores

Cartier Modernized its Milan Location to Revive Physical Retail

Cartier Milan, the large four-floor location of the luxury jewelry retailer, has undergone a complete revitalization. The design was remodeled from the color palette and architectural layout to the retail display structures in an effort to draw more attention to physical retail in an era where retail is moving more online each year.

This space was redesigned to encourage customers to "linger whether they are buying something or not." In order to achieve this, the store now features a bar on the third floor, various art installations around the store, several lounge areas, and jewelry displays that showcase the brand's most chic collections. Essentially, Cartier has created a location that is not only a source of high-end jewelry but also a hangout for bespoke customers.

Some of the retail displays here are sunken into the wall, some display only one product in a lightbox, and some are placed in illuminated drawers. With this location, Cartier is at the forefront of luxury retailer modernization.
