UberPOOL is Now Offering a Flat Rate Fee for Traveling Long Distances

UberPOOL is introducing a new service to its carpooling app that will entice commuters or people who are traveling out of town. The ride service is now charging flat rate fees for driving to far distances, making it an even more attractive option to take cab rides and drive yourself.

The pre-priced trips are currently only available from San Francisco to the nearby cities of San Jose, Palo Alto and Mountain View; however, if successful, it will expand the service everywhere.

The ride would involve carpooling with other commuters who are traveling to the same destination. Therefore, people who are uncomfortable with sitting in the same car as strangers would not be interested. However, the carpooling app provides an eco-friendly and economical option that provides people with the price before they make their choice.
