The Carlota Guerrero images of her Barcelona surroundings are breathtaking and remarkably subdued. Although the country is filled with colors and bright backdrops, she mutes the scene in each image with faded photo finishes and pale shades, making many of the snapshots appear aged and covered in a thick haze.
Guerrero first began taking pictures as a teenager. It was then that one of her friends gave her a camera, prompting her to kickstart her impressive portfolio.
In addition to shooting images of nature, seen in tall bushes and extensive foliage, Guerrero also focuses on an assortment of male and female subjects. While some stare straight ahead and others look to the side, their presence is nonetheless always felt in the photos.
