The Callofthegame DIY table was made of 5,218 pennies. The Reddit users pieced them together seamlessly, paying painstaking attention to the display of small geometric patterns. Together, the coins give way to differing color-coded shapes, seen in small triangular shapes in varying degrees of copper.
This project took approximately 40 hours to assemble. This involved a period of time devoted to inspecting each penny, sorting them based on their shading. The table itself is made of a birch door, making this DIY display approachable for those looking to replicate it.
After going through each penny, Callofthegame glued the pennies on in a zig-zag formation. Given the expert attention to detail, the design is instantly recognizable, seen in the twisting of varying shades of brown.
