This Call of Duty Parody Video Promotes Love Not War

The ‘Call of Duty’ parody video called ‘Cornation War’ parodies the violence associated with the video game and transforms the game’s mission. Micah Malinics creates the video game for a high school project where she uses film and video effects in order to get her message across.

‘Call of Duty’ is a video game where the mission is to kill other players and to have the most amount of “kills.” Malinics uses the same screen set-up but instead of holding a gun, the player holds a carnation. The goal within this game is to deliver carnations to girls within a school setting. The parody is hilarious but shows how much the game can change when the goal is reversed-spreading love not war.

The ‘Call of Duty’ parody is sure to draw some attention to the debates about video game violence, but is certainly a humorous spin off of a popular video game today.
