This burger with plantains is inspired by one of the daily specials featured in the popular cartoon Bob's Burgers. Featured in Season 5 Episode 19 ('Housetrap'), the She'll Be Comin' Round the Plantain Burger (comes with plantains) was in reality replicated by Cole Bowden from the food blog The Bob's Burger Experiment.
All of Bob's burgers of the day have overly complicated puns in the name, but this one is very clear that plantains are involved. The jalapeno and cumin burger with plantains is topped with refried beans and melted monterey jack cheese. It cannot be emphasized enough that it comes with a side of plantains (which are fried and covered in a mole sauce too). You should also include shredded lettuce.
