Burberry has long been at the forefront of the push to use social media to the advantage of branding and marketing. The upscale British label is maintaining that position by pushing its own frontiers. After recently being the first brand to launch its own Apple music channel, Burberry is using Snapchat to debut the Fall/Winter Burberry collection.
Followers of Burberry Snapchat can view teaser videos, makeup tutorials, editorial photos and behind-the-scenes previews of the upcoming London Fashion Week release of the Fall/Winter 2016 Burberry collection -- but followers have to view the exclusive editorial content quickly, before it's erased. The campaign proves that Burberry's understanding of the power of social media is once again ahead of the curve.
