Lebanese designer Samer Alameen designs two unique bubble-inspired furniture pieces for Italian label JCP. The designer taps childhood memories of playing with bubbles in the design approach for the new two-piece collection. The first piece is the 'Eret' console table that takes on design cues of a model construction system made for children dating back to 1898. It is still frequent in the world but the design transforms its normality as the surface of the piece looks as if it can be moved around and replaced. The Eret is constructed from perforated stainless steel materials and held together with fixing bolts.
The second piece in the capsule is the 'Orgone' lamp that takes on the visual of a bubble blowing toy that taps to the memories of every child and adult. The base of the piece is crafted from brass and the shade looks like a soap bubble made with borosilicate glass. The illumination is a red light that gives the lampshade an iridescent appearance to look like a soap bubble.
