Cardboard-Tubed Retail Stores

Brooks + Scarpa Design the Interior of Aesop Shop

Brooks + Scarpa has designed the inside of the retail store Aesop with an upcycled look. The team put tubed cardboard features throughout the store, giving it an eco-friendly vibe.

The cardboard tubing has been placed on everything from the hanging light fixtures to the walls and tables. Instead of this looking cluttered, everything is very minimalist allowing for people's eyes to be drawn to the products when they enter. The store is located in downtown LA on a busy road, so the chances of more foot traffic coming in with this redesign is high. For floor is from the original building, constructed in 1929 so the area also has an interesting historic component that has been maintained with this update by Brooks + Scarpa firm.
