Brick-Centric Art Exhibitions

Floris Wubben Designs the Brick Collection at the Future Perfect

Netherlands-based artist Floris Wubben presents his solo exhibition at the Future Perfect highlighting his BRICK collection. It pushes boundaries in the cultural context when it comes to the sturdy material. It reflects on how it can be used for other purposes beyond construction and is shown in a series of home furnishings.

This is launching simultaneously with the 400th anniversary of New York's fruition and the architectural heritage that is built using Dutch bricks. The collection is comprised of benches, chairs, stools, a coffee table, a chandelier, a desk, a mural, standing mirrors, wall mirrors, and sculptural totem poles. The main focus of the exhibition features functional art that balances its utility with visual aesthetics.
