Water-Less Minimal Design Gardens

Botánica is a Garden that Does Not Require Any Watering

The Botánica garden by Moss and Lam creates a range of abstract marble sculptures that are made with different shades and patterning using Neolith's stone slabs. Botánica is designed to encourage visitors to wander around and the sculptures have a monochromatic look of white, black, and grey.

Speaking about the new garden, co-founder and creative director Deborah Moss states that We wanted to create an artistic botanical garden with a whimsical, maximalist aesthetic that could seamlessly fit into [the Aga Khan Museum’s] minimalist architecture; a utopian vision where the real meets the imaginary.” The garden is made to stay the same size, color, and shape with no need to grow or transform to the next plant stage.
