Although this isn’t the first time we have come across novel lighting such as these Book Lamps, it definitely solidifies the fact that we are not yet ready to give up on this beautiful print form. Artists and designers are contantly finding ways to incorporate books into our lives, even if we don't use them in the traditional sense as much anymore.

Created by Ragip Erdem, the Book Lamps are custom-made using books that interest each customer, though art and travel books are preferred. The Book Lamps turn pieces of the novel (namely its pages, covers and spine) into sculpture icons. No two Book Lamps are alike, making them more meaningful and unique for each customer.

The Book Lamps are available in two different versions for tables and ceilings.
