The 'BOCCO emo' robot has been shown off at CES 2019 as a family communication solution from YUKAI that helps to convey the emotion of messages as it plays them for inhabitants.
The robotic device works by letting users record messages for other members of the family and will adjust the orientation of its head depending on the emotion of the message. This includes up for happy, mid-range for neutral and down for sad to help infuse a touch of personality into the messages as recipients listen to them.
The 'BOCCO emo' robot also works as a smart home hub that can be used for controlling all the various devices in the home to make it a multifunctional option for consumers to choose.
