The Harbour City mall in Hong Kong is set to launch an event that pays tribute to the popular blue Smurf characters and the legacy of the franchise.
The establishment is honoring the retro comic series by creating a replica of the cartoon village in one of its courtyards. The impressive set is complete with life-size mushroom homes, 35 characters and a variety of different props. The exhibition also features a collection of the creator's original artwork -- with the event being the first time that it will be displayed to the public.
The restaurants within the Harbour City mall are working to encapsulate the blue Smurf theme by offering menu items based off the franchise. This includes everything from royal blue pudding, marshmallow cookies, extravagantly frosted cupcakes with images of the characters on top and milkshakes and slushies that are served in cartoon-faced cups.
