For the Blonds Fall/Winter 2013 show, which took place at the Milk Studios as part of Mercedez-Benz Fashion week, the designer decided to have the models wear nails, which stole the show.
The nails, which came in reds, blacks, golds and silvers, with prints on them dazzled like diamonds as each of the nails were adorned with a bevy of Swarovski crystals. The nails were stylized to match the overall theme of the show, which took inspiration from horror flicks. A total of 22 different looks were commissioned for the Blonds Fall/Winter 2013 show, which took on the theme of 'Forbidden' to complement the garments seen in the collection. Some of the designs included nails, which mimicked the appearance of dripping blood as well as a straightjacket design.
As thousands were poured into the making of these nails, it could be argued that they may have cost more then the outfits themselves.
