Created by Akinori Ito, the Blest Machine is safe to use at home since the plastic is never heated enough to burn, just melt. According to Dvice, “Ito says the fuel that comes out can be used immediately to power stoves and generators, and can even be refined as gasoline.” At the price of $9,500, however, it might not be worth it -- yet.
