Rebecca Jewell is a London-based artist whose passion for anthropology and history has been linked her to talented artwork evident in her bird feather art.
Jewell uses printmaking along with watercolors and charcoal to create unique drawings on bird feathers. Her images are intricate -- and so detailed -- that they appear almost unreal. These fragile feathers are delicate and are meant to be hung or framed for display.
The feathers are mesmerizing, and come in assortments of colors and breeds, and are printed on various sizes. Jewell collects her feathers from a variety of places like goose farms and swanneries, and she spends a meticulous amount of time sorting through he collection to seamlessly match the bird images with the feathers.
