Remastered Video Games

'BioShock: The Collection Remastered' is an Update of the Classic 2007 Game

Remastering is a term most commonly associated with music, but 2K, the video game company that created the 2007 classic BioShock and its two subsequent sequels, is applying the remastering concept to 'BioShock: The Collection Remastered.'

In the music industry, a remastered album is a classic album redone to feature modern sound technologies; the songs are the same, but the sound quality has changed. For BioShock: The Collection Remastered, the three BioShock games will remain exactly the same in terms of narrative, gameplay, and design, however the graphics and sounds are updated to conform to the best new video game technologies available.

Considering the cult classic status of the BioShock series, 2K's decision to double down on the franchise with an updated version of the game makes sense, as fans will be sure to swarm to the new version of their beloved old game.
