UK underwear and loungewear company Stripe & Stare launched a new collection of comfortable and fully biodegradable underwear. The company, created for women by women, worked with Austrian fibre company Lenzing to incorporate Tencel into its latest styles. This regenerated wood fibre comes from non-protected tree sources and Lenzing makes its fibres in a carbon-neutral process that uses 99.9% of the raw materials.
The B Edit from Stripe & Stare joins the eco-friendly material with a first-of-its-kind elastane technology from Roica in Japan that's 100% biodegradable and certified by Cradle to Cradle.
The company is on a way to change the way women shop for underwear, especially since just 3% of the underwear market is sustainably sourced and these intimate items are worn everyday and not purchased second-hand.
