Google will update its Google Maps platform to display bike-share locations, along with other standard navigation features. the new feature can direct users to bike-share locations in their vicinity, as well as any relevant pickup and drop off locations. The new feature will be rolling out to users in the next few weeks, and it will initially be available in 10 different cities. The list of cities includes Chicago, San Francisco Bay Area, Washington DC, New York, London, Mexico City, Montreal, Rio De Janerio, as well as Tapei and New Tapei City.
Bike-sharing platforms are becoming more popular, especially in large cities. Integrating the navigation app with bike-sharing services could be popular with many users who commute using shared bikes.
