Stereotypical Cartoon Cyclist Portfolios

The Bike Nation Series is Comically Accurate and Witty

Nona Willis Aronowitz and Peter Steineck created a series of stereotypical cartoon cyclist portfolios for the Bike Nation series. The collection features eight different biker personalities that one might encounter while cycling along the road.

Many of us who use our bikes for exercise or as a mode of transportation would probably exclude ourselves from any of the representations in the Bike Nation series; however, any biker has undoubtedly encountered one or more of these personalities during their bike ride.

There's everyone from the already-dressed-for-work Commuter, recognizable through his safety conscious gear and proper office attire, to the Street Kid -- this young baseball cap-wearing hoodlum is always ready to hop off his stolen bicycle at the slightest of provocations. What biker profile would be complete without a representation of the Trekker, with a body fat percentage of under 0.5%, this hardcore athlete would accept any bike-oriented fitness challenge if you tell him it can't be done.
